ICT Program
Bundoora Primary School ICT Program
At Bundoora Primary School, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is an essential part of our curriculum, taught from Prep to Year 6. With dedicated ICT lessons each week, we equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate and contribute to an increasingly digital world.
A key strength of our ICT program is access to up-to-date technology. Each student has their own device during lessons, enabling hands-on learning without limitations.
Our curriculum integrates online tools, Microsoft Office applications, and specialised educational software, exposing students to a wide range of digital platforms. They develop essential skills in word processing, file organisation, network access, and email management, ensuring they can handle digital documents and navigate online resources securely.
Cyber safety is a core focus of our program. From an early age, students learn to browse the internet safely, protect their online privacy, and recognise potential cyber threats. By promoting responsible digital behaviour, we empower students to protect themselves and others in online environments.
Coding is another significant component of our curriculum, helping students develop computational thinking and problem-solving skills. Through coding activities, students build logical reasoning, creativity, and a deeper understanding of how technology works—skills that can spark an interest in STEM fields and provide pathways for future learning.
By integrating ICT education across all year levels, Bundoora Primary School ensures students develop essential digital literacy skills in a structured and progressive manner. With modern technology, dedicated learning spaces, and a comprehensive teaching program, we provide a strong foundation in digital competency for all students.
