Performing Arts Program
Bundoora Primary School students tap into their theatrical side during Performing Arts lessons. Exploring dance, instruments, drama and singing students express their creativity and musical flair. Our bi-annual whole school concert is a much anticipated event. It provides every student with the opportunity to showcase their talents.
Our very talented Performing Arts teacher, Mrs Newell, plays several instruments and has been performing on stage, including regularly in her own band, since she was a child. Mrs Newell supports our students through music, drama and song, and prepares them well in developing their artistic, musical and theatrical opportunities.
Mrs Newell, is passionate about providing extracurricular activities. The Rock Band and Choir perform at Schools of Rock each year. They also provide regular performances for the community. You’ll find them performing at assemblies, preschools, shopping centers and at events such as the Arty Farty Festival.
Performing Arts lessons continued during remote learning. Students did a wonderful job during this challenging time. Here, one of our Year 6 students, created her own music through musiclab.
