Physical Education at Bundoora Primary School is all about enjoying the development of fundamental motor skills and game sense in a safe environment. The philosophy of the program is about promoting lifelong physical activity and wellbeing for all of our students. Through our Physical Education classes students are taught the basic skills of ball handling, basic skills of various sports, athletic track and field skills, as well as participating in many various sporting clinics from local amateur and professional sporting. Our Physical Education teacher, Mr Daniel Kret, is passionate about encouraging children to be active and healthy.
Prep students also participate in PMP which runs every Friday afternoon 2:15-3:15 and is coordinated by teachers, senior students and parents in our school community. PMP (Perceptual Motor Program) is designed to develop children’s balance, fitness, hand-eye co-ordination, fundamental motor skills and understanding of concepts (eg. on, in, through, under).
