Inclusive Education at Bundoora Primary School

Helping your child move into primary school involves careful thought and planning. At Bundoora Primary School we are ready to work with you to prepare your child for the next step in their life.

Our principal, Sherrin Strathairn is passionate about equal learning opportunities for all children and firmly believes that all children can learn.

Our school values are equality, respect, excellence, resilience, friendship, and cooperation. These values were set by the school community and underpin everything we do at school.

At Bundoora Primary School our staff members have experience and qualifications in an extensive range of support options. This range of experience within our staff team allows us to provide the best education, support, and care to our students.

Bundoora Primary School is an inclusive and Child Safe school. We also follow the Reading Science approach to literacy. This evidence-based approach to literacy is especially helpful for students with dyslexia but also benefits all children.

The extensive diverse experience and qualifications our team has to offer within our school community include:

Our curriculum program includes AUSLAN which is the official sign language of the Australian Deaf Community. Our school is wheelchair accessible and friendly; we also provide separate ambulant bathrooms for privacy. We offer intensive individual Learning Plans which outline a student’s individual learning needs as well as their safety, access, behavioural, medical, and personal care needs.

Taking the time to get to know your child’s school and sharing important information about your child will help us develop a positive partnership with your child and help you decide what best suits your child’s needs.

Please book in a tour or speak to our Principal if you wish to discuss how Bundoora Primary School can meet your child’s needs.
