Literacy Parent Information Sessions

by Bundoora Primary School | Feb 4, 2022 | Curriculum

On Wednesday 9 February we will be holding parent/carer information literacy sessions with Karen Starkiss.  Karen is the literacy consultant we have hired to guide our teachers. We are now moving our literacy into researched based synthetic phonics and this changes the way we teach reading and spelling at Bundoora.

We welcome interested parents and anyone who would like to be a parent helper.  Karen is a very entertaining speaker, who is also a trained dyslexia consultant. The sessions will be held on 9 February at 9:15 and 5:30. Each session runs for about 90 minutes. Parents will need to be fully vaccinated (double dose at this stage), and sign in at the office. Also, please wear a mask.

Please register your interest in attending either of the sessions by contacting our office on  9467 2601 or signing your name at the office.
