Students in our High Achievers Program, recently competed in the Robocup Junior Competition at Melbourne University. Students chose to compete in soccer and dance teams against various participating schools, ranging from primary students to secondary college students. Our 13 High Achieving students were required to build a robot and program it to, for the soccer team, manouvre around the soccer field to score goals, and attempt to keep their opponent scoreless, and our dance team’s goal was to “out dance” their opponents. Our students competed very well, one team progressing through to the preliminary final. Mr Luke, our Science Teacher, works with our High Achieving students weekly to continue to challenge their intellect and academic abilities.
